Winning schools were announced in January 2018. To recognize the winning schools, the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation provides the following:

• Congratulatory ad in the local newspaper and statewide publications.
• Framed certificate and a banner for display at their school.
• Promotion of the winning schools on the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation website.

During the school year, each winning school will be responsible for planning a Healthy School Awards Celebration Day for their check presentation, to publicly recognize their efforts in creating a healthy school environment.
